D4 Class Tier List — Season 14: Death Awakening

Season 14 launched June 30 on patch 3.1.0 with Mythic Unique 3.0 and a large class balance pass; 3.1.1 (July 14) fixed Mythic boss drops and several class bugs. The bands below start from the late Lord of Hatred / S13 consensus (Barb/Sorc S+, Rogue/Paladin/Warlock S, Necro/Spiritborn A, Druid B) and should be read as a provisional S14 map until more post-3.1.1 ladder data lands.
📊 Path into Season 14
- → Barbarian and Sorcerer locked S+ (Whirlwind / Minion / Ball Lightning Orbital). Rogue promoted B→S.
- → Large balance pass: Paladin Oaths/skills buffed, Warlock skills/aspects retuned, Sorc set multipliers up, Druid Survival Instincts reworked, Rogue set retunes.
- → Mythic Unique 3.0 drop tables fixed on Lair Bosses; Fragment craft 5→4; Warlock Mefis/Abaddon and Spiritborn damage bugs fixed — gearing and some class bugs improve mid-season.
- → Rankings below are provisional S14 starting points based on late LoH data + 3.1.0 direction — not a final S14 ladder snapshot.

S+-Tier
Barbarian
Surprise winner of the launch meta. Whirlwind and Minion Barbarian are both S+ on the current endgame tier list. Whirlwind self-spawns Dust Devils at level 15, Gohr's Devastating Grips and Ramaladni's Magnum Opus rework make 2H scaling explosive.

Sorcerer
Ball Lightning Orbital is the highest DPS build in the game right now. Mage-Lord's Aspect, Berú of the Threefold Set, and the channeling rework reshape Sorc into a tanky melee-range nuker. S+ on the consolidated endgame list.

S-Tier
Warlock
New class. Still strong but Apocalypse Warlock has slid down to A on the consolidated list. Dread Claws and Lunatic remain top-tier. Highest AoE damage in the game — ideal for Echoing Hatred. Trade-off: minimal defensive skill tree.

Paladin
Returning class with the deepest build diversity at launch. Wing Strikes (Arbiter), Hammerdin, and Holy Light Auradin are all confirmed S-tier. Tanky frontline with strong AoE.

Rogue
Promoted hard from B-tier launch projections. Penetrating Shot Rogue with Nightstalker's Aspect and Nilfur's Narrow Eye 5pc is now S-tier. Dance of Knives also extremely strong.

A-Tier
Necromancer
Blood Wave with Kessime's Legacy remains strong. Hotfix 2 (Apr 29) nerfed Schadenfreude Iron Maiden and Bramble Bone Prison damage values — both were testing far above intended output. Class is still A-tier but lost two top variants.

Spiritborn
Evade Counterswarm Spiritborn sits at A-tier with other Evade variants. Eagle Evade builds remain strong. Versatile but no class-defining top build.

B-Tier
Druid
Slid to B in the consolidated meta. Companion Druid (with Nafain's Bestiary Talisman set adding bear companions) is the most forgiving Druid build but doesn't top leaderboards — clears Torment comfortably without pushing the highest Pit tiers.

- Want the strongest build in the game right now: Whirlwind Barbarian or Ball Lightning Sorcerer.
- Want survivability without sacrificing damage: Paladin (Auradin or Wing Strikes).
- Want to play the new class: Warlock (Dread Claws or Minion) — Dread Claws is the strongest starter.
- Want to push deepest into Echoing Hatred: AoE-first builds — Whirlwind Barb, Ball Lightning Sorc, Apocalypse Warlock.
- Want a high skill ceiling, willing to gear hard: Penetrating Shot Rogue with Nilfur's Narrow Eye 5pc.
