Season 4 (May-August 2024) shipped Patch 1.4.0 — one of the largest patches in D4's life. What are Greater Affixes?

Greater Affixes were introduced in Season 4. Marked with an asterisk (*), they provide 1.5x the normal affix value. Items can roll with 1-4 Greater Affixes. Masterworking crits on Greater Affixes produce the most powerful gear in the game.

Season 4 — Loot Reborn — is widely considered the moment Diablo IV became the game it was supposed to be. Patch 1.4.0 shipped one of the largest overhauls in the game's life: Tempering, Masterworking, a revamped Codex of Power, Helltide Reborn, Greater Affixes, and The Pit of the Artificers all launched together.
