Diablo IV Patch 3.1.2 — A Season of Death Awakening Cleanup Pass
By the DiabloBytes team · 3 min read
Patch 3.1.2 (Build #73020, all platforms) is a small, targeted follow-up to Season 14's mid-season 3.1.1 update. There are no balance overhauls here — it's a bug-fix pass aimed squarely at Season of Death Awakening stability, a Rogue damage correction, and a couple of quality-of-life fixes around Mythic Uniques and the Horadric Cube. If you've been running Ruptures and Infernal Hordes this week, these are the annoyances the patch clears up.
Patch 3.1.2 at a Glance
- Build: #73020 (All Platforms) — July 28, 2026
- Focus: Season of Death Awakening bug fixes — Infernal Horde, Soul Eater, Altar of Avarice, and the Cosmic Archives Stronghold
- Rogue: Dash no longer deals an incorrect amount of damage with the Shadow Play Variant
- Items: Mythic Unique items can now be recycled
- Crafting: the Mythic Horadric Cube recipe is renamed from "Upgrade" to "Craft"
Season of Death Awakening Fixes
The bulk of 3.1.2 is seasonal cleanup. Six fixes address bugs players hit while running the season's core loop:
- Fixed an issue where the Whisper icon could obscure teleporting to Infernal Horde.
- Fixed an issue where killing the Soul Eater while frozen could stop monsters from spawning.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the Deathtoll Chamber to complete before the Soul Eater is slain.
- Fixed an issue that allowed spawning of more monsters than intended from the Altar of Avarice.
- Fixed an issue where skipping an objective could prevent progress in the Cosmic Archives Stronghold.
- Fixed an issue where Indigo mount VFX could persist after the mount is dismissed.
Rogue & Expansion Fixes
The only class-facing change is a Rogue correction, plus another Infernal Hordes reliability fix:
- Fixed an issue where Rogue's Dash could deal an incorrect amount of damage when using the Shadow Play Variant.
- Fixed an issue that could allow abilities to stop Infernal Hordes from starting.
Items & Crafting
Two Mythic-related fixes and a naming change round out the patch. Notably, Mythic Unique items can now be recycled — a gap from the Mythic Unique 3.0 systems that shipped with Season 14.
- Updated the name of the Mythic crafting Horadric Cube recipe from "Upgrade" to "Craft".
- Fixed an issue where Mythic Unique items could not be recycled.
- Fixed various visual texture issues.
Developer's Note: "The name is being updated so that the recipe's functionality is consistent with the naming convention for Cube recipes."
What to Play Now
Nothing in 3.1.2 shifts the meta — this is a stability and quality-of-life patch on top of Season 14's Death Awakening.
